Our Wedding

What started as a chance meeting in a high school computer lab, has since become a decade of adventurous memories. We met when we were 15 (Mari) and 17 (Alex) in the first semester of our Sophmore and Senior year. We made it label official on December 17th, 2014, which also happens to be the birthday of Maris sister, Sofie (shout out Sofie for never EVER complaining about sharing the day with us). Our first date was that same day after a long day of finals at the Applebees location in Clemmons. We still frequent this location, for sentimental reasons and the $5 holiday drinks. We finished an amazing school year and had an even better summer spending as much time as we could together. And even though Alex would be leaving at the end of Summer to attend university, we decided to make the long distance work. Obviously, it all worked out, thank you James and Chloe for driving Alex back home so we could see each other, several hours you wont be getting back. Since those early years, we have grown into our beliefs, values, and philosophies. We are lucky to have witnessed and fostered each others growths in ways that very few people get to share with someone at our age. 10 years has flown by, but its easy when you get to share it with your person. No measure of time with each other will be long enough but we can start with forever.

10 years out of Forever

Lo que comenzó como un encuentro casual en un laboratorio de computación en la prepa se ha convertido en una década de memorias llenas de aventuras. Nos conocimos cuando teníamos 15 (Mari) y 17 años (Alex), en el primer semestre del primer año de Mari y el último año de Alex. Oficializamos nuestra relación el 17 de diciembre de 2014, que casualmente también es el cumpleaños de la hermana de Mari, Sofie (¡un saludo a Sofie por nunca jamás quejarse de compartir ese día con nosotros!).Nuestra primera cita fue ese mismo día, después de un largo día de exámenes finales, en el Applebee's de Clemmons. Todavía frecuentamos ese lugar, tanto por razones sentimentales como por los tragos festivos de $5. Terminamos un increíble año escolar y tuvimos un verano aún mejor, pasando todo el tiempo que pudimos juntos. Y aunque Alex se iría al final del verano para asistir a la universidad, decidimos hacer que la relación a distancia funcionara. Obviamente, todo salió bien. Gracias a James y Chloe por llevar a Alex de vuelta a casa para que pudiéramos vernos—varias horas de manejo que no recuperarán.Desde esos primeros años, hemos crecido en nuestras creencias, valores y filosofías. Somos afortunados de haber sido testigos y parte del crecimiento del otro de maneras que pocas personas tienen la oportunidad de compartir a nuestra edad. Estos 10 años han pasado volando, pero es fácil cuando los compartes con tu persona especial. Ninguna cantidad de tiempo juntos será suficiente, pero podemos comenzar con el "para siempre.
